Each of Williamsburg-James City County schools are fully accredited, preparing students for “lifelong learning, independent thinking, and responsible citizenship”—the district’s mission. Art and athletics, IT and AP, and vocational and technical courses ensure each child realizes his or her full potential. Children attend J.D. Montague Elementary School, James Blair Middle School, and Warhill High School.
Warhill High School features a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility with an equally impressive curriculum, Warhill High School is the pride of Williamsburg-James City County schools. The main attraction: A technology center engineered through unique partnerships with Sentara Healthcare and Thomas Nelson Community College. The school system was also recently awarded the 2008 Governor’s Award for Innovative Technology Use, and the 2008 Virginia Board of Education Leadership for Diversity Education Award.
